A Boho Wedding in Rust & Jewel Tones

Intimate ~ Beautiful ~ Fun

These sweethearts planned an epic party at the Big Horn Equestrian Center near Sheridan, WY, for their June wedding with all their friends. We combined fresh and dried elements for their wedding flowers, full of boho-inspired warm jewel tones in rust, mustard, mauve, and emerald green.

She wore an incredible dress by Luce Sposa - The Elvis Dress with the most airy details. The bridal party wore a collection of mixed dresses from Baltic Born, and the men sported fresh, light-colored suits.

Our snow-topped Big Horn Mountains put on a show for their wedding day, and I love every image and detailed captured by Wyoming wedding photographer Kaylie Sirek.

The bridal parties stayed in luxurious rentals at The Powder Horn. They provided plenty of space and great locations for getting ready photos and are just a short drive from their wedding and reception venue at the Big Horn Equestrian Center in Big Horn, WY.

I created a garden-style bouquet in muted tones of rust, mauve, mustard, and emerald with garden roses, ruffled carnations, deep green foliage, and dried pampas grass.

Their ceremony took place on the polo fields under a hexagon arch with x-back chairs from Powder River Party Rentals. I created an asymmetrical floral piece in their muted jewel-tones with dried palm fronds and pampas grass to frame the space.

We had a combination design for their reception with long and low centerpieces in wooden boxes on long tables paired with rust or emerald-colored table runners and some DIY dried bud vases on their round tables. They included some antler sheds and loose greenery for a faux garland effect.

They partied the night away under the lights over the patio and ate Sheridan’s best pie from Hetty’s Pizza.

Congratulations

A Secret Wedding in October

Bobbi & Max

Bobbi was a long-time Whirly Girl fan and attended several pop-ups and classes in the early years here in Sheridan. When she and Max decided to have a secret elopement in 2020 at their Wyoming ranch, Talking Waters, I was elated to make a simple bouquet and boutonniere for their moment together. She gave me full creative control, and I used some wild bittersweet vines, dried craspedia, and fresh roses for her bouquet.

Cassie Madden captured all the joy of the blustery day with their single witness and dear friend.

As I tell all my couples, your day is yours. Embrace it. Make it what you want it. Bobbi and Max embraced this, wearing outfits they pulled from their closets in the morning and got married in a place they loved with a friend to witness. No rules, just LOVE.

Congratulations!

A Rust & Peach Wedding at Born in a Barn

Thoughtful ~ Inclusive ~ Cozy

Cloie & Tucker’s wedding day was everything they described and planned for. Each detail was thoughtfully chosen, and their cozy setting made each guest feel welcome. Their sage, peach, rust, and terracotta color palette came to life with ruffly roses and textured garden details.

Cloie wore an Anna Kara in silk chiffon with floral appliqués from Jasmine Lilly Bridal in Bozeman. Her sister and maid of honor wore a satin dress in Eucalyptus from Azazie with the Groom, and his brothers wore crisp white shirts and khaki pants. Their choice of a small, intimate bridal party made for the easiest and calm day with family by their sides.

After growing up watching weddings from her front window, Cloie walked down the aisle under the amazing trees at Born in a Barn to marry her love under an arch he designed and built just for their wedding day. Wyoming Wedding Photographer Cassie Madden captured all the gorgeous details.

I’ve been itching to make a floral pocket square for a groom and finally got my chance with Tucker with peach ranunculus, earthy spray roses and small dried details.

Their reception took place in the well loved Barn and was filled with cozy seating around the dance floor and tables scattered about for guests. The bride’s grandmother created a host of terrariums and potted succulents in a variety of vessels and we scattered simple bud vases and loose greenery along the tables to complete the design.

Congratulations!

A June Wildflower Wedding in White & Yellow

Demi & James

I ask every couple to rate how important flowers for their event are on a scale of 1 (meh) to 10 (heck, YES). Demi responded with a resounding 11 and we set off on an adventure planning her dream wedding flowers with Forever West Weddings & Events by our side.

She and James planned a weekend celebration at the beloved HF Bar Ranch and invited their nearest and dearest to join them.

Sarah Averill, a Wyoming wedding photographer, captured all the gorgeous details and their sweet love.

Demi let her ladies choose their dress style and color within her floral-filled yellow theme, and the result was stunning. Each friend wore her personal favorite with character and sweet details. Her dress came from Emma & Grace Bridal Studio and was designed by Pronovias. Hair & Makeup by Tanya finished their looks for the wedding day with their beauty shining through.

As we all know, June can be a fickle month in Wyoming and this day was no exception. We designed their ceremony florals under sunny skies with clouds peeping over the mountain peaks. After a short and intense rain delay, their ceremony occurred under stunning evening skies.

Linden House sourced incredible pieces for dinner hosted on the covered porch at the ranch house, bringing Demi’s blue-plated dreams to life. We paired delicate blooms in white, yellow, and pale pink with tapered candles for a dreamy evening over food with their loved ones.

The couple stole away immediately the ceremony for some portraits together and Demi traded her long veil for a petite flower crown with ranunculus and chamomile.

Congratulations!
